Fares
Bluefield Area Transit fares vary depending on your location and destination. All fares listed below are one way only. Pass holders should have their pass with them at all times when riding the bus, and show it to the driver each time they get on the bus.
We offer a route deviation service that extends up to 3/4 mile in each direction of the main route. Fares for the route deviation service will vary.
Passes are available from the bus driver, from Bluefield Area Transit at 3208 John Nash Blvd, Bluefield, WV, or from our Transfer Station located at 1400 Bluefield Ave, Bluefield, WV.
When paying with cash:
Place
exact fare in the fare box when you get on the bus. Ask the driver for a transfer if you need to continue your trip on another bus.
Keep your pass on your phone with "Token Transit"
Riders transferring between Cumberland Road and South Bluefield and Premier will not be charged a fare. This is considered a free transfer.
